Good Food Box

The Good Food Box is Local Food Manitoulin’s current active program. It is a non-profit, community initiative designed to help individuals and families access fresh fruits and vegetables at an affordable cost.

Boxes are packed and distributed to communities across Manitoulin on the third Tuesday of each month. Participants receive the same kinds of fresh fruit and vegetables available at local grocery stores, purchased in volume to help keep the cost down.

Box options

The existing program information notes that produce is supplied through Manitoulin Island grocery stores, with local food sometimes purchased from area producers to augment a distribution when appropriate.
